I wanted to let you know that I am cycling on Saturday for Russ in the Pelotonia. All the money goes to James Cancer Research Institute. I will be riding in his honor.
I am thinking of you, Marsia and Sharon this week...lots of prayers and love to you, David, and all of Russ' family!

What we know about you, Russ: We know that you are a great "fixer", builder, storyteller, farmhand, grower of all things green, photographer, baker, singer, and have many more untold talents! We know that you love your family (oh, how you love them!), hats, the farm, the cats, spaghetti, scotch, toothpicks, to sing, homemade bread, grape pie, sloppy clothes, a good joke, blackberries, American Idol, and to get up early. You are true and loyal to each and every friend. We are so thankful to know all these sides of you and to know that you love us as we do you.

ReplyDeleteWe are all thinking of you every day, all day! Last night, Weston came out of his room to say good night to us & he asked me to tell you hello & to make sure you knew he was thinking of you & wishes we didn't live so far away from the family! We checked the blog this morning & Weston laughed when he saw the pics of the foot rub down challenge!! Weston gives the BEST foot rubs in the world - lotion & all! He might take over Sarah's winning title! I wish we weren't so far away, too! I wish we could come by & visit you & spend time together! Just know that we visit you in our thoughts all day long & check on the blog for updates & photos, & that we love you. Thank you for being a wonderful lifelong friend to mom, and a wonderful husband to Aunt Shommy. One of my best memories of you is the year we came for Christmas in 2004, and the family all came up to mom's house on New Year's Day. Aunt Rae had made all of the girls scarves & my mom had bought me the big pink hat...we were taking pics of Anna, Molly & Sami with their scarves on, in front of the tree, & you got a hold of my hat & one of the scarves & you rocked that look!! Which in turn instigated all the other guys to grab a scarf & have your group photo taken looking pretty! We miss you & love you...We wish we could come by & spend a little time with you! Milk those foot rubs, Uncle Russ!! We love you lots & SO many of my friends are asking about you & praying for you & Aunt Shommy....XOXO
